Hello, and thank you for visiting. Since many of you don't know me, I've written here as much information about me as I could think would be pertinent.  Above are pictures of me at the Boston Tea Party '08 and helping out at the Cape three years ago.  Reading to the very end will bring you to my contact information, where you should feel free to ask any questions I haven't addressed here.

About Me

My name is Laura Jackson and I am a member of the Agawam RTC. I'm a Chicopee native, attended and graduated from Chicopee Public Schools.  Attended Holyoke Community College on a scholarship taking Business/Legal courses.  Both of my parents were active in civic affairs in Chicopee.   Now I'm a homeowner in Agawam.  Self-employed for the past 15 years, I am a political activist and have run a small home-based business for 15 years.   I'm the mother of two grown daughters and grandmother of 4.

My Activism Experience '08

  • Canvassed my own precinct,

  • Set up a phone bank in my home, to call voters in Massachusetts and various other states before their caucuses and primaries.

  • Provided organizational assistance to Republican Activists in Barnstable County.

  • Helped to gather signatures for various political candidates.

  • Helped to coordinate various public rallies and events.

  • Developed and sent Press Releases for the above.

  • Assisted in coordinating the End The Fed Rally in Boston, which was part of an informational,  nationwide, simultaneous rally in 39 cities across the U.S. and The Boston Tea Party '08, developing and sending Press Releases.  Coordinated event posting online for both.

  • Assisted in canvassing projects across Massachusetts.

  • Organized a full slate of Ron Paul Delegates and Alternates for the 2008 Massachusetts Republican Caucus.

  • Created and administer a blog for the Agawam RTC.  http://www.agawamrepublicans.blogspot.com

  • Volunteer as 2nd District Regional Co-Coordinator for the Campaign for Liberty
  • Helped to coordinate fundraisers for political candidates across Massachusetts.

  • Coordinated speaking engagements.

  • Attended  various Campaign Trainings in Western Mass.

  • Co-hosted local activist radio program, Red Pill Politics

  • For the past 12 months held weekly activist meetings in my home which include conference calls with activists across the state and phone banking.

Post Script June, 2010

Currently, I'm the Massachusetts Co-Coordinator for the Restore America Plan.

My involvement in the political process was through my discovery of Ron Paul and his message of Liberty in his Presidential Campaign in 2007.  I joined the Republican party at his suggestion, believing that we really only have a two party system.  In that same year, I had the good fortune to meet many more activists throughout Massachusetts and beyond and experienced baptism by fire from members of my own party when I entered a race for District representative here.

Make no mistake, I'm not a seasoned politician by any stretch of the imagination.  I'm a political activist with my ideology firmly in place:  Government of, by and for the people.
